One worker was killed and 13 others were injured when a natural gas pipeline exploded in Cleburne, Texas early Monday afternoon. The accident occurred when workers for C&H Power Line Construction Services accidentally struck a 36-inch pipeline, causing it to explode. The 13 injured workers were transported to a local hospital and were treated for minor injuries following the blast.

Three days after a large explosion on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, family members are fearing the worst for 11 workers who are still missing after the accident. BP has recently been fined a record amount for an explosion that took place at a Texas City refinery in 2005.  The fine that was imposed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration was a record amount that totaled nearly $87 million dollars.
