A fire followed by three explosions struck a plastic factory in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, but there were no casualties.
A Louisville fire official said that fire was first seen by employees in some drying equipment at the bag house located in one building of the BASF Corp. plant. The bag house is where dry materials are stored.
Three explosions were heard at 10 a.m., Louisville Fire & Rescue spokesman Capt. Ronel Brown said.
Workers were evacuated and firemen used the factory’s water system to put out the fire.
