Fire broke out in Xcel Energy’s King power plant around 5 a.m. at the Oak Park Heights, Minnesota, facility’s coal crushing building on March 17, 2008. The fire caused an explosion in the plant. No one was injured.

Workers at Massachusetts Power Station Burned Alive in Explosion

A water tube burst at the Salem Harbor Power station in Salem, Massachusetts, killing the three workers who were nearby. The accident took place on November 6, 2007. They were severely burnt on the head, neck, face and hands by the high pressure steam that was released by the pipe bursting.
