Imperial Sugar Plant Refinery in Georgia Burns Out of Control

A devastating fire broke out in the Imperial Sugar plant in Port Wentworth near Savannah, Georgia, on February 6.  Firemen battled flames inside the vast refinery — a network of warehouses, silos and buildings eight stories tall connected by corridors of sheet metal.

Report: Safety Violations Found at Oil Refineries Nationwide
