Palm Bay, Florida has been hit in the last few days with bad brush fires that are trying to demolish the whole community. Officials reported around noon yesterday that these fires had already wiped out over 75 homes in the area.

The governor took a tour of the area and found that there were many more fires that were happening at that very moment. Officials said that there was somewhere around 108 different brush fires in over 13 counties.

Schools were shut down because of these fires and more than 8,000 people were without power for an extended amount of time. The fire explosions are said to be the cause of the tremendous power outage for the different counties. The Governor officially declared this a state of emergency so the state officers are officially allowed to ask for help from other surrounding states. Officials speculate that it is because of the ongoing drought that Florida had that has caused these fires.
