Grand Rapids Home Explodes

June 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

In Grand Rapids, Michigan , a vacant home exploded causing quite a bit of damage to the surrounding areas. Sources say that the cause of the fire was a natural gas leak that was inside the home. After the gas had been leaking for a while, something sparked and the house exploded. When the house exploded, it sent parts of the house and glass flying in all directions.

Officials have yet to say if anyone was hurt in the explosion, although it was a vacant house. The home was completely ablaze before officials arrived on the scene. The firefighters arrived on the scene are tried to put out as much of blaze as they could. There is no word yet on the fire and how it was taken care of.

The owner has been notified and will be taking care of all the necessary arrangements that go along with the explosion of the home.
