At around 12:20 AM on Tuesday, September 2, half of a Fargo duplex was nearly leveled by a sudden explosion. Thirteen family members were injured, including a mix of adults and children. Two victims had to be airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital for treatment of severe burns.
The explosion caused serious damage, with debrs being strewn fifty feet in all directions. Firefighters were forced to dig two of the victims out of the rubble by hand. Firefighters have traveled from a nearby Minnesota town to offer assistance, along with members of the American Red Cross. The cause of the explosion is still unknown.
